Introducing Master Sugar Artist Mark Seaman

Mark SeamanAward-winning Sugar Artist and Cake Stylist Mark Seaman developed his nationally-recognized style and expertise in special occasion and wedding cake design through many years of intensive training with leading cake decorators, chocolatiers, and sugar artists from around the world. Mark owned and operated a highly successful cake boutique in Chicago for nearly a decade before launching the International Pastry Tour. Currently, Mark teaches cake design and sugar artistry at the Wilton School of Cake Decorating and provides group and private classes in his Chicago-based studio. Most recently, Mark joined the faculty of the French Pastry School’s L’Art du Gâteau,The Professional Cake Decorating and Baking Program where he teaches celebration cake design and conducts wedding cake business lectures.

In addition to winning first place honors at the Grand National Wedding Cake Competition in 2007, Mark judges professional cake and gingerbread competitions across the country. The Food Network, HGTV, the Travel Channel and ABC 7 in Chicago have all featured his culinary masterpieces.

Fluent in French and conversational in Russian, Mark has lived abroad in Italy and France, where he studied French art and literature and taught English.

The International Pastry Tour is a culmination of Mark’s vast knowledge and expertise in both food and language and desire to pass that knowledge on to others in an intensive, multi-sensory, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
